Corinna Richards originates from the UK but is now settled in Georgia, USA. She has been freelance writing for six years and has been published in the UK, USA and Canada.
From 1992-1999 Corinna was a student of Staffordshire University, UK where she obtained her academic qualifications and an excellent reference. She has a BA(Hons) in Philosophy/English Literature and an MA Women's Studies for which she received a distinction. In 1999 she commenced a Ph.D. in Sociology at Staffordshire University and is currently continuing independent research.

Philosophy of subjectivity and embodiment.
She has published articles in a diverse range of fields including, natural health, women's health, genetic modification, medical research, writing, organic gardening, preventative medicine and women's issues. Corinna also enjoys writing poetry and has been published both in the UK and USA in print and online literary magazines including Lexicon, Birmingham Literary Review, Magpie's Nest, Millennium Shift, Virginia Adversaria, and in the 2000 anthology "In Our Own Words/A Generation Defining Itself."
Being co-web manager of the Women in the Arts Network, Corinna is actively involved in supporting and promoting the creative ventures of other women working in the arts. As well as designing and managing the network's web site Corinna is also editor of the network's monthly electronic magazine Artrageous Women which launched in June 2001
Corinna has been invited to conduct a workshop for writers at the Hightower Falls writers' retreat in May 2002., where she will be discussing writing for the Internet.
Her current independent research project is growing rapidly. The resulting book "Transient Bodies"- an examination of cultural shifts in the expression of embodiment - will be ready for publication later this year.
Corinna has many other interests. She is a member of the Critical Health Psychology Network. She has an interest in herbal medicine and for some years has been growing and making her own herbal applications. As a regular volunteer for the Humane Society , she helps to care for and re-home abandoned dogs and cats. Most recently she joined the Red Cross National Disaster Action Team.
